Nightmares

Have you ever woken from a bad dream?
A bad dream so it may seem
Till you open your eyes
And quickly realise
The real nightmare is right outside
The tiny moment in which you awake
Full of blissful ignorance – completely fake
Till the reality hits you
And flips you
And the blood that run through
You turns to black dust
Your heads full of anger and lust
There’s a glint in your eye
Because no matter how hard you try
It’s swelling like an ocean
Tornado in the sky
Skin starts to fade
Running away from your blade
As you pick up the world
So beautifully made
Watch it freeze over
Throw it over your shoulder
Crush it like magneto
You’re just as fucking bipolar
Now wouldn’t it be funny
If the beast was a bunny
Depression was the carrot
They dangled in front o’ me
You think I know when the end is nigh?
You can throw meds at it
Skittles in the sky
Yet this beast is immortal
It’s never gonna die
So why wouldn’t I
Turn and Hyde
Murdered Jekyll
Now I’m searching for Clyde
Desperately trying to evoke the memories
From the bad dream that came to me
Because it’s now my door to relief
If only it could open sesame
Now my world is so grey and black
That art attack would give you a heart attack
But I’m already dead
With a knife in my back
To take it out
Would be unbearable
So instead I turn to the beast
To become a bit more stable
Now isn’t that ironic
Finally made these scars stick
But the beast is now
Wining and dining. How
I’ve ballooned and it’s the pin prick
Happiness goes pop
As the recovery stops
Nothing below me
So far from the top
This is why I can’t tell
How deeply I fell
Because this is so fucking painful
I wish I wake up in hell.
